Taking Steps Towards Health...Baby Steps Count!

As a naturopath and holistic nutritional counselor, I have met with all different kinds of clients...athletes to stage 4 cancer patients and everyone in between...some people that have never eaten healthy before, and others that have been on a health journey for some time. I've been blessed to meet with so many diverse individuals and each client has taught me something new! No one "case" is the same, as everyone is unique in their life journey. No matter where they are in their health journey though, somethings remain consistent amongst them all. First off, there is ALWAYS room for improvement. No matter if you have been eating healthy and living a clean lifestyle for a day or 10 years, there...

Staying Connected and Positive in a Time of Trouble

With everything going on today, I find myself gripping at my faith more and more. The battle around us is not just of flesh and blood, but spiritual warfare is in full-force. Between the stressful situation of COVID-19, the political arguments, the corruption around us, the riots, the crash in the economy (especially the hit on small businesses)...need I say more...I find my strength from prayer. While...

Many people ask how do I stay on track when we travel, and even though it can be tough sometimes, having a routine makes it easier. Things change a bit depending on where we are going and how long we will be gone, but these are on the list no matter where we travel to. When looking for accommodations, we usually start by looking to rent a house from Airbnb, VRBO, or if the prices are high we look into hotels with a kitchen. Places like Baymont Inn & Suites or Extended Stay hotels usually...

What is Natural Health?

You may have heard of this line of business referred to as holistic health, or alternative medicine...well, let me just explain a bit about what I do and what the basis of using the gifts of nature for healing purposes is all about. Many people ask me, what exactly does it mean to be a Naturopathic Doctor and Nutritional/Health Coach. Well, there are many different answers to this depending on the professional you ask and their field of work so that would explain much of the confusion! While there are variations in how certain naturopaths practice and which protocols they use, there are always the foundational principles of natural health that are constant between all in the natural health field....
